Microprocessor-Driven Performance
Cableform's proprietary microprocessor control of IGBTs (Isolated-Gate Bi-polar Transistors) provides LMC- powered mining equipment with these performance advantages:
- Maximum motor torque at all speeds
- Smooth controlled acceleration
- Smooth controlled braking
- Adjustable parameter setting
- Cooler running motors
- Solid-State diagnostics
- Motor protection Software
Advantages
Solid-state reversing of the series-wound motor allows the inductive field winding, which is in series with the armature, to protect the armature against DI/DT current surges - it's simple, it's automatic.
One Microprocessor unit controls both Motors - no communication problems.
One current path per motor, resulting in significantly less thermal losses.
