SSC Series Solid State DC Contactors for Traction Applications
No routine maintenance.
All solid state construction.
Eliminates two contactors, one resistor and a time delay in soft start applications.
Ratings
- Catenary Voltage Ratings:
- Up to 800 volts dc and 1400 volts dc transient capability.
- Current ratings:
- Continuous current: 25 amps to 200 amps.
- Current limits: 50 amps to 300 amps.
- Control voltage:
- 48 volts dc to 18 volts dc.
- Input:
- Dry contact or open collector.

- Current limit protection for the unit and the motor being controlled.
- Inrush currents to the motors are eliminated.
- High current draws from the supply line are eliminated.
- Soft start capability: 0 to 3 seconds ramp time.
